VENUE HIRE

Parties here are suitable for a maximum of 30 guests including children, due to fire safety and just general comfort of guests if the party were to be kept exclusively indoors due to bad weather. People can spread over the two floors and if the weather is dry we can place tables and chairs outside, and kids can even use

The Wynd Pirate Ship park opposite.

The cost for hire of the entire venue (upstairs, downstairs and possible outdoor seating)

is £60 per hour.

Start times for parties on Friday or Saturday would be after shop opening hours, unless otherwise discussed. Monday-Thursday we can make this earlier if you'd prefer.

We ask for the finish time to be no later than 10pm.

DECORATIONS AND MUSIC

Please feel free to bring party decorations, or if you have anything in mind then just give me a yell and we can source some bits for you. We just ask that you’re kind to our existing fixtures and fittings! We can give you early access to set up, if available, or if you’re happy for us to tart the place up for you then you can drop some bits off. We will be busy cooking and clearing up after the shop opening hours though, so if you have lots it would be preferable for you to stop by and decorate yourselves please.

BIRTHDAY CAKES

Being a cake shop, we do ask that all cake is supplied by us please. We specialise in celebration cakes that are simply decorated to look as yummy as possible, and we have a huge range of flavours to choose from! Here's a selection...

As pudding is provided at the party, a 6” cake is a perfect size for the traditional candles and singing, and then take home to enjoy with a cuppa the next day!

Any toppers or candles do need to be provided by you, but we do have a lighter for candles though!!

These start at £40 each.

DRINKS

We don't hold our own alcohol license, however you are able to bring your own booze and we will keep it chilled if need be and supply the glasses. You are welcome to drop this off either the day before or earlier on the day of the party. We just ask that you give us a heads up as to what you will be bringing though please, so we can make sure we have the correct glassware etc.

All soft drinks will need to be supplied by ourselves, and we will still have our large selection of hot and cold drinks available to purchase. We will even make sure the milkshake machine is ready to roll! You can either set up a tab to settle at the end of the party, or guests can pay as they order. Drinks ordered at the event will have a party discount of 10% too.

FOR SHINDIGS

All freshly made on the premises, we pride ourselves on offering a high quality yet homely style of catering and have included as many BakeHouse staples as possible in our menus.

If you have any particular faves that you cannot see in the below lists then please do give us a shout and we'll do our best to make sure they are included. Most guests opt for both a sweet and savoury menu, but if you want just cake then go for it!

Food would be served approximately 30 minutes after the start of the party, but we will gu and we would have it all downstairs across our counter for people to help themselves. We’d swap the savoury to sweet treats after a short while, or until people start asking!

It is up to you how much food you would like, but we do recommend catering for slightly less than your expected number, especially if kids are invited, so if you do have a total of 30 guests, then catering for 25 for example. We do have plenty of bags and boxes though, so any leftovers can be packed up to take home!

PAYMENT

If it sounds like we are the place for your celebration and you would like to get the date in the diary, we do ask for a deposit of 25% of the total cost to secure the booking please, with the balance due 7 days before the party.
We will send over a final quote once we have finalised your options. Payment can be made either in the shop by cash or card, or via bank transfer.

PRIVATE
AFTERNOON TEAS!

For groups of 10 or more you can book your very own private Afternoon Tea sitting! Great for celebrations, work do's, or just an excuse for a get together. Enjoy our House baked seasonal menu whilst making yourselves at home here at our BakeHouse, without worrying about disturbing other guests!
Room for a maximum of 28 people, using both our upstairs and downstairs seating.
£35 per person.

MEETINGS

Imagine this...

A breakfast meeting with freshly baked scones and cookies, pots of tea and the smell of freshly ground coffee. If work starts early, who said it can't be enjoyable?!

A lunchtime meeting accompanied by a smorgasbord of warm gourmet sausage rolls, sliders and a selection of our delish cakes. Who said working through lunch can't be delicious?!

A full day of being huddled upstairs in our little cake shop, whilst we keep you fed and watered for the day with our freshly made sweet and savoury bakes, hot and cold drinks....and even a milkshake to celebrate getting your work done?!

- Each booking priced individually and dependant on requests.

- Prices calculated per head and include refreshments, room hire and use of power/wifi.

- Available Tuesday - Friday only.

- From 8am until 3pm
